Estate Operations Manager (6-Month FTC)
Oxford

£45,000 - £47,500

The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Estate Operations Manager for an initial 6-month fixed-term contract to join a top-tier real estate consultancy supporting with the management of a prestigious, large mixed-use estate in Oxford. This role will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring the estate runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You will work closely with tenants, contractors, and the property management team to deliver high standards in maintenance, security, and facilities services. Although this role is only an initial 6 month contract, there is a strong possibly this could turn permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the estate, ensuring quality and compliance across all services.
  • Manage relationships with tenants, providing excellent service and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate and monitor contractors and external suppliers for maintenance, cleaning, security, and landscaping services.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage budgeting and financial aspects, including invoicing, supplier payments, and cost tracking.
  • Conduct regular inspections, identifying and addressing any potential issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with the property management team to support projects, tenant events, and improvement initiatives.

 

Experience Required:

 

  • Proven experience in estate or facilities management, ideally in a mixed-use or complex estate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, compliance, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, with a hands-on and solutions-focused mindset.
  • Experience with service charge budget management.
