The ideal candidate will likely come from a Building Surveying background, and might be currently working for a Managing Agent, Building Surveying Practice/Professional Services Consultancy or in a similar Client Side role. You should have extensive experience delivering instructions within commercial property,along with experience delivering both large and small works.

Main Duties & Responsibilities 

Provide guidance in the execution of procurement activities for the property management team and to the more junior procurement team members.

Source, obtain and evaluate the most competitive pricing for services procured.

Prepare tender documents, tender evaluations and analysis, and quality checks on goods and services.

Review and update the approved vendor list periodically.

Plan, schedule and monitor the procurement of term contracts and minor capital projects to ensure timely approval and award.

Prepare reports and statistics for management review.

Ensure procurement activities comply with procurement policies and SOPs.

Conduct periodic audits on the procurement process and documentation.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Experience of supporting the procurement of  contractors or professional services for the built environment - i.e you may have experience of  Facilities Management, Property Services, or Construction Categories.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a number of proactive and reactive tasks, such as minor Fabric Repairs and Decorating, Basic Plumbing, Helping with Desk Moves, and Caretaker duties such as Key Holding. The successful candidate should have good general handy person skills, health and safety awareness, and good people skills as you'll work directly within the clients Facilities Management team. The salary for the role is £32,000, with the working hours being 8.30 till 17.00, Monday till Friday.

Duties will include:

Assist with minor repairs such as painting, plumbing and general minor building maintenance.

Assist the Property department with desk moves and other general ad hoc small projects.

Ensure the buildings infrastructure, furniture, fixtures, and fittings are in excellent condition through regular, visual inspections, reactive and proactive problem solving.

The Mansion has a number of Lift's, and you'll be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repairs, as well as supervising contractors on larger works and future projects should additional lifts be installed into the property.

Duties will include:

Conducting routine maintenance, servicing and testing across all the units within the site.
Carrying out small repair works and call out if required.
Attending to breakdowns and rectifying issues as soon as possible via first time fix methods.

The successful candidate should have the following skills:

Ideally an NVQ 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent qualification, however time served Engineers will also be considered for this role.
The willingness to independently operate on a static prestigious site 
At least 5 years' experience working within the Lift Industry in a servicing and small repair capacity.
